A MULTI-MILLION pound revamp of Bicester Leisure Centre, including the addition of a six-lane ten-pin bowling alley, is on track for completion this month.

Last year most of the centre was closed for a £4.5million project to refurbish the centre, part of a £25million project by Cherwell District Council to upgrade leisure centres across the region.

The first phase to redevelop the fitness suite was completed last October and saw the latest exercise equipment installed over two floors.

Work to the rest of the centre, including the bowling alley, new changing rooms, an improved sauna, steam and spa suite, an improved activity hall and better accessibility, is set to be finished in the middle of May.

An official opening ceremony will then take place on Saturday, June 13.
At present the squash courts and fitness suite are open for use by the public.
