ST Edburg's Primary School in Bicester will be launching a year of celebration for its 150th birthday on Monday, July 14.
A special service led by the Bishop of Dorchester will take place from 11am and during the day, the school will be open for parents and friends from the community to visit classrooms and see children's work. Tea and cake will be provided for the visitors.

On July 14, 1858, the school's foundation stone was laid by the Rev Watt, vicar of the parish, and the school building was completed by June 1859.

For more information about the anniversary event, telephone the school office on 01869 252393.
