A GROUP of twins and their families came together for a double celebration in Bicester.
Sixteen sets of twins recently joined the Bicester Twins Club as they cut a cake at Langford Village Community Centre to celebrate 15 years of providing support to Bicester families who have experienced a multiple birth. The occasion also marked the 30th birthday of the national support group, the Twins and Multiple Births Association (TAMBA).

Club organiser Celia Jones said she found out about the Bicester group through TAMBA after being told she was expecting twins three-years-ago.
She said: "When I heard I was excited but a little apprehensive. You have all the joy of expecting but also apprehension about how you will cope with more than one baby at a time. It can be quite daunting, especially in the early months when they are tiny babies. You've got double the feeding, double the nappies and double the cost. But it all gets easier as time goes on."

The Bicester Twins Club meets every Friday between 1.15pm and 2.45pm at Oxon County Council's Children's Centre at the Glory Farm School site in Hendon Place, Bicester.
