A NIGHT of ghouls and ghosts to raise money for research into cystic fibrosis has been organised by a Brackley mother.
Catherine Upstone is the mother of three-year-old Cerys, who has the progressive disease where the internal organs are covered by a mucus, making it hard for the person to breathe.

Mrs Upstone has organised a Fright Night event at Oxford Castle to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

The event is being held on March 8, from 10pm to 7am the following morning, and paranormal experts from professional ghost-hunting company Fright Nights will be on hand to guide visitors.

Mrs Upstone said: "This is the first time the trust has done something like this.

"The castle will have paranormal experts with ghost-hunting equipment we will be able to use all night. People are also allowed to take their own equipment to record any activity which is taking place.

"We will also be allowed to go to a part of the castle which is not normally open to the public and where there has been recent activity recorded."

There are only 35 places available for Fright Night, with tickets costing £25 each plus donations. The money raised will help carry out research into gene therapy for cystic fibrosis. For tickets, contact Mrs Upstone on 07720 605231.
