GOLFERS can meet '70s boxing legend John Conteh in a charity tournament at Silverstone Golf Club next Friday, July 25.
Teams of four playing to three-quarters handicap will take part in the 18-hole Stableford competition, with the best two scores from each team counting per hole.
The tournament begins at 10.30am with a shotgun start. A presentation dinner will be held in the evening, including prizegiving and a charity auction.
Proceeds will go to the national children's medical research charity SPARKS.
Places cost £25 per person for Silverstone Golf Club members, or £35 for non-members.
Corporate teams can join in for a fee of £200, including sponsorship of a hole. Contact club captain Nicki Turbayne on 07713 473071 for more information.
