MORE than 50 protestors gathered at RAF Croughton last Saturday to demonstrate against the base's role in the controversial US Missile Defence system.
Campaigners fear the system gives the USA a military advantage, destabilising good international relations established after the Cold War.

Protestors marched around the perimeter of the US-controlled communications base before rallying outside the main gates.

Mell Harrison of the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament spoke to protestors about the technology involved, the threat it poses to Russia and China and the dangers of provoking a new arms race.
