DEANSHANGER village green was a sea of people on Saturday for the annual Deanshanger Feast.
Dancers, a fun fair and tai chi and karate demonstrations were among the features of the day, which was organised by the Deanshanger Village Heritage Society.

Other attractions included a 107-year-old Marshall traction engine, a sculpture created out of paper, church stalls and a raffle where the first prize was a weekend hire of a Mercedes sports car donated by Envy Prestigious Car Hire.

The event, which ended with a firework display, raised more than £500 for two causes, the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and the Deanshanger Community Centre (towards catering equipment).

Organiser Andy Limbert said: "It was fantastic. This is the eighth year we have run it – and this year really was the best ever.

"We had a beautiful afternoon with lots of activities and we raised a lot of money.

"We had large crowds particularly for the fireworks in the evening, and the village green was full."
