THE 11th annual charity clay shoot at Akeley Shooting Ground raised money for a good cause on Sunday.
Organised each year by brothers John and Bob Spademan, the event has raised thousands of pounds for local projects.

This year's beneficiary was Akeley Village Hall, and around £250 was raised. Akeley Village Hall Committee thanked the Spademan brothers, clay trap operators, and scorers for their time.

The committee also thanked shooting ground owners the Dunkley family, Dennis Lewis from The Buckingham Tailor for sponsoring the cartridges, and Rumbletums caterers for providing refreshments.

Mr S Smith came top in the open shoot with 50 clays, while Bob Herring came second with 48. Penny Spademan topped the ladies' shoot with 36 clays, followed by Charlotte Nimmo with 27.

Henry Mitchell and John Spademan drew in the colts category with 36 clays apiece, and Dougie Wightman led the novices with a score of 41.
