THOUSANDS of people headed to the Bucks County Show today, Thursday.

Livestock, horses and ponies, produce and flowers were on display while entertainment was provided by Bolddog Lings Moto Cross Team, the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas, a sheep show and a dog and duck show among others.

At the time of going to press at noon yesterday, Thursday, around 10,000 people had already descended on the showground at Weedon Park to visit one of Buckinghamshire's largest rural shows.

Some of the country's best horse riders were demonstrating their talents in the show jumping rings and there were vintage tractors, more than 200 trade stands and rural demonstrations.

Speaking from the Bucks County Show yesterday morning, spokesman Ray Stollery said organisers were pleased with how well the show was going.
"The morning was taken up with the sheep judging and the sheep show which is always a big attraction. We had around 280 cattle, 240 sheep and 1,000 horses, including the horses in the show jumping."
