TRADITIONAL maypole dances and more modern break dances were performed by pupils from Buckingham's primary schools at a special May Day event.
SS Peter and Paul Church was the venue for the occasion, which was held on Thursday last week.

It was organised as a joint venture between the town's primary schools and the town council.

Chairman of events, town councillor Robin Stuchbury, said the children had a 'tremendous time.'

He also thanked everyone who supported the event, including Buckingham Primary School for bringing their maypole, and the church for hosting the event and arranging refreshments for the youngsters.
