PIRATES and penguins dodged several obstacles on their way to the finish line for this year's Knockout Challenge at Buckingham Athletic.
The club, which is raising money for a new clubhouse, organised the It's a Knockout-style competition on Sunday, with nine teams competing on the day. Reigning champions The Wedges, sponsored by Scottish and Newcastle Brewery, came fifth this year, but the winners were The Bright Sparks, sponsored by Bargad Electrical.

Tony Checkley, Athletic spokesman, said: "We want to thank all our sponsors and everyone who worked so hard in the build up and on the day. We will certainly run the event again next year."
