A TINGEWICK couple are holding a dinner dance to raise funds for a hospital and support group that helped them through the tragedy of losing their baby daughter.
Corinne Collyer, of Cross Lane, attended the Horton Hospital in Banbury in September last year with husband, Andrew, to give birth to their daugher Emily. But on arrival, a scan revealed their daughter had died.

Now the Collyers, to thank the hospital staff for all the support they gave, plan to hold a black tie dinner dance at the Buckingham Golf Club on November 22. They want to raise money for a new foetal monitor and for the Stillborn and Neonatal Death Society (SANDS).

Mrs Collyer said: "The reason we wanted to do this was so we could do something positive in Emily's memory. It is a year since Emily was born on September 21.

"We received a lot of support through SANDS and through the Horton Hospital, which desperately needs another foetal monitor."

The dinner dance will include an auction, with items including a celebrity caricature, catering for a dinner party from Buckingham Delicatessan, fishing equipment, and a tour around the Mars chocolate factory. Tickets are £35, (including a three-course meal), available from Mrs Collyer on 01280 847059.
