WORK is set to begin on a development of 100 new homes on land between Buckingham and Maids Moreton.

This week signs have been put up on land on Moreton Road and
Bellway Homes has confirmed that initial building work is set to begin within the coming weeks.

Julian Kenyon, a spokesman for Bellway Homes, said the development would include one and two bedroom apartments, as well as a range of two, three, four and five bedroom houses.

He said: "Work will start on preparing the land platform for roads and sewers and we hope to be able to establish a sales cabin by the autumn."

But Peter Dungate, chairman of Maids Moreton Parish Council, said villagers still had concerns about the possible effects of increased traffic as a result of the new development.
