MORE than 170 pupils from eight local schools took part in a three-day arts festival at Stowe School recently.
Pupils from Years Seven, Eight and Nine at Beachborough School in Westbury, Buckingham School, Kingsbrook Specialist Business and Enterprise College in Deanshanger, Magdalen College School in Brackley, The Royal Latin School in Buckingham, Stowe School, Thornton College and Winchester House School in Brackley, took part in the Luffield Festival.

Divided into six groups, each worked for three days on a performance or display of dance, drama, music, creative writing, art or singing.

On the Wednesday afternoon, all the students gathered at Stowe to put on a display or performance which was open to parents and visitors.

Stephen Hirst, 6th form tutor at Stowe, said: "It is a great opportunity for youngsters to work with people their own age, but not from their own school or type of school, and to concentrate on building one thing for three days rather than changing subject or activity every time the bell goes. It has been a superb show and display every year and a lot of fun to participate."
