A TANDOORI restaurant in Buckingham was nominated for an award at the Tilda Tiffin Festival of Curry held last month.
Dipalee Tandoori Restaurant, on Castle Street, received a nomination for the Restaurant of the Year Award and was chosen by MP for Buckingham and Winslow John Bercow.

The awards were held at the House of Commons and nominations are made by the Tiffin Club of MPs, which was formed to find the best south Asian restaurant in the UK and to raise money for charity.

A total of 54 restaurants from 54 constituencies competed this year in the competition which was sponsored by rice producer Tilda.

The competition was established in 2006 by MPs Michael Fabricant, John Barrett and Keith Vaz. This year's competition was in aid of Friends in Village Development Bangladesh and breast cancer charity Roko Cancer.
