STUDENTS will be able to enjoy arts and science workshops later this month when Stowe School hosts its annual festival.
Pupils from eight local schools – known as the Luffield group – will be taking part in the Stowe Festival, being held from October 10 to 14.

It will include workshops on a variety of topics including geology, music, drama, ballroom dancing and hip
hop dancing, and performances from several visiting theatre companies.

There will also be an opportunity for the public to watch some of the performances throughout the five days. Tickets to the shows will be available by contacting the school on 01280 818000, 01280 818146 or 01280 818251.

On October 10, Precarious Theatre Company will be performing The Factory, in the school's Roxy Theatre, from 8pm. The company uses theatre, digital technology and design elements in their show about conformity.

The Soldier's Tale, by Igor Stravinsky, will feature professional musicians alongside teachers from Stowe School's Music department and will be conducted by the school's director of music, Simon Dearsley.

The show will be taking place on October 11 and 12, from 8pm, in the Chapel.

On October 13, Reform Theatre will be performing Bouncers, a play which sees four actors play all the characters who come to the busiest disco in town. The show starts at 8pm in the Roxy Theatre.

On October 14, The Adriano Adewale Band will be performing in the Stowe School Chapel, from 8pm.
