VOLUNTEERS have created a colourful and exciting garden for children at Puzzle Pre-School in Middle Claydon.
The specialist pre-school provides early intervention for young children with autistic spectrum disorders and other communication problems, and the new garden is designed to stimulate children's senses of sight, sound, touch and hearing.

Head of the nursery, Lesley Ann-Martin, thanked the 12 volunteers from Midsummer Housing Association who created the new garden at the end of October.

She said: "I am absolutely amazed at the way in which volunteers, in one day, managed to transform a bland piece of ground into an exciting area for our children to explore.

"We are now able to take more of our curriculum outside to enhance their learning during play times."
