TWO Adstock-based stained glass artists are offering a new service to local businesses.
Vitreus Art, which is based in Main Street, is attempting to bring more colour and light to business boardrooms by offering to turn any company logo into coloured glass.
Glass workers Jenny Timms and Mike Caddy have already carried out work for a Bucks-based PR firm and an Italian holiday company and believe most logo designs can be interpreted in stained glass.
Mr Caddy said: "I have visited so many company reception areas that were crying out for some colour and style. The days of putting up a calendar from your office stationery supplier as your sole boardroom decoration are over."
He added bespoke stained glass logos should not cost much more than a large mass-produced print, but would be a unique talking point for visitors and staff.
The firm makes stained glass art using the Tiffany method where glass shapes are cut and ground and then the edges of the glass are covered in copper foil.
The glass is then connected or pieced together, by running a bead of molten solder over the copper foiled glass. The method was developed in the Art Nouveau era at the turn of the 20th Century.
Some of the pieces made by the pair will be on show at events across the home counties this year, including craft fairs.
