A HOTEL and spa near Towcester has been named as one of the top large hotels in the East Midlands.
Last month Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa was named as one of the three finalists in the region's 19th Enjoy England Excellence Awards' large hotel category.

The awards are run by East Midlands Tourism set up by the Government's East Midlands Deve
lopment Agency, and aims to promote Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire as a destination for holiday-makers.

Sacha Cauwels, general manager at Whittlebury Hall, said: "We are very proud of our facilities here at Whittlebury Hall, with an outstanding combination of business and leisure facilities.

"The awards recognise this and we are delighted once again to be among the finalists."

The winner will be announced during a black tie dinner and awards ceremony at the East Midlands Innovation Centre in Leicester on Wednesday, October 8.

Whittlebury Hotel is competing against its sister hotel, Scalford Hall in Melton Mowbray, both part of the Mace Group, and the Kettering Park Hotel also in Northants.

Whittlebury Hall has three restaurants, one of which holds two AA Rosette Awards, an award-winning spa with a wide range of facilities, and a golf course.
