Best-ever trading year for Katharine House Hospice
Bicester’s Katharine House Hospice shop has helped the charity make its largest-ever total through trading this year.
The charity, which has shops in Bicester, Banbury, Chipping Norton and Shipston-on-Stour, took about £696,000 through its shops this year. The figure was up around £70,000 on the previous year.
Retail and trading manager Scott Bloomfield thanked all Katharine House Hospice supporters, volunteers and staff for making it possible.
He said the first quarter of this year is already up on the same period last year.
This year’s record-breaking total included £46,000 in Gift Aid.
All profits from shops, including Bicester’s Market Square store, go directly towards the cost of patient care.
Shops sell a wide range of good-quality donated goods, ranging from furniture and clothing to bric-a-brac, toys and games.
