Cadets brush up on their map reading

BUCKINGHAM: Cadets from Buckingham Air Cadet squadron honed their skills in a map reading skill day at the squadron’s Buckingham headquarters.

The morning covered compass bearings and grid references, while the afternoon involved a six-mile walk to test the cadets’ skills.

Those who attended went home with an increased knowledge of how to read a map, and are all ready to go on to plan their Duke of Edinburgh Award practice expedition.
