Campaign group and council join forces over future of RAF Bicester

A NEW group will look into ways of preserving RAF Bicester’s important heritage after a key decision last night.

Members of Cherwell District Council’s executive voted to join campaign group Bomber Command Heritage (BCH) in a new partnership.

BCH has said it is prepared to invest £35million over 20 years to repair the base’s dilapidated structures, many of which are listed buildings or scheduled ancient monuments.
