AS temperatures soared on Sunday afternoon, seven intrepid instructors led 100 Zumba enthusiasts through a three-hour Zumbathon in Winslow Public Hall to raise £1,000 for Middle Claydon-based charity The Puzzle Centre.

Zumba is a Latin American-style dance-based fitness class suitable for all levels.

Instructor Kirsty Davies, who teaches classes in Calvert, Thornborough, Swanbourne and Milton Keynes, said: “They were a really fabulous bunch. The vast majority of people who were there did the full three hours. We had 16 to 65-year-olds. Everyone was whooping, cheering and applauding all the way through.”

The event was jointly organised by Kirsty and Jane Simons, who teaches classes in Winslow.
