Chiltern ‘streaks ahead’ of rivals

Chiltern Railways has been named the best franchise rail operator in England for train punctuality, according to research released this week by Network Rail.

The operator was named the best for punctuality for the fourth period running. In total, 86 per cent of Chiltern trains were on time against a national average of 68.5 per cent.

Chiltern spokesman Andrew Munden said the figures showed they were “streaks ahead” of competitors.
