The Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust has helped hungry hedgehogs in Buckingham by cutting holes in some of its garden fences.

A concerned resident of Addington Road contacted a local Aylesbury Vale District Council staff member after the housing trust repaired damaged fence panels, which would have stopped hedgehogs foraging in back gardens.

Two special holes have now been cut in the panels to give the much-loved mammals easy access to the slugs, snails and other garden pests they consume.
