Exceedingly good bakers celebrated

An Upper Heyford apprentice baker was among the best in the county in this year’s Oxfordshire Bake-Off Challenge.

Pamela Knowles, 30, an apprentice from HIT Training in Upper Heyford, eventually lost out to Oriel College apprentice Jason Farbridge and his layered courgette, walnut and cinnamon cake.
