Fringford counting down to jubilee street party celebration

FRINGFORD will celebrate 60 years of the Queen’s reign with a day of jubilee festivities this Bank Holiday Monday, June 4.

Activities will be held on the cricket field near the Butchers Arms pub.

Shoppers can hunt for bargains at a Portobello market, with proceeds to the Fringford Cricket Field fund.

Afternoon teas will be on sale in the Butchers Arms from 12pm to 4pm, and free children’s activities will be available from 5pm to 7pm.

Activities will include a jubilee quiz, colouring, drawing, and crown making.

Face painting, temporary tattoos and model painting will also be available for a small charge.

Local people are invited to bring a picnic and share in the street party atmosphere.

Tables and chairs will be set out, and barbecued food will be on sale.

Live music will be performed by the Brilltones from 7.30pm to 10pm.
