CHILDREN at Field House Day Nursery in Buckingham were in the mood for love on Tuesday, with a range of themed activities for Valentine’s Day.
The tots were encouraged to dress in red and make a £1 donation to the Ikamva Labantu charity, which supports orphans and vulnerable children in South Africa.
As well as cooking heart-shaped jam biscuits, little ones made heart-shaped wands with photos of the people they love.
Manager Kelly Seaton said children shared their family books about their loved ones.
And she added: “We had lots of songs and rhymes and stories about being kind and loving each other. They had a lovely day but what they liked best of all was the cooking. And I’m sure they’re going to enjoy eating them even more.”
The nursery, on Tingewick Road, will be holding an open day on Saturday, March 3 from 10am to 3pm. There will be a mobile children’s farm and face-painting.
