Meeting is to be held for district volunteers

THE next meeting of the South Northants voluntary and community sector forum will be held in Towcester on Thursday, January 19.

The main speaker will be Ian Davies, director of community and environment for South Northants Council and the theme will be change in relation to the new management structure at the district council and potential changes arising out of the Localism Bill.

The second speaker will be Nick King, from the South Northants Volunteer Bureau to introduce Village Networks, a Lottery-funded project connecting the villages of south Northants and their residents with support and advice services.

The forum provides groups and individuals with the opportunity to exchange information and discuss ideas. The meeting is being held at South Northants Council offices, Springfields, between 2pm and 4pm.
