New funding for broadband

OXONLINE: Residents of villages in the Bicester area have until Friday next week to make enquiries over funding to improve their local broadband connection.

Some rural areas are not currently included in Oxfordshire’s main broadband improvement project, OxOnline. Residents of those areas can apply to the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) for funding to help set up local projects.

OxOnline is set to bring significant improvements to Oxfordshire’s broadband speeds by 2015.
