A new Bicester group which helps former non-runners get fit is preparing for the OX5 run at Blenheim Palace on Sunday, March 10.

Linda’s Ladies, launched in November by Bicester resident Linda Davies, will take on its first competitive event as a team.

The five-mile race, raising money for the Oxford Children’s Hospital, is now in its 11th year. The group of eight Bicester ladies will be up against hundreds of runners from across the region.

Linda, from Villiers Road, said: “They start off as non-runners, but we’ve been training twice a week and they have homework to do as well. They’ve been training hard.”

The team is sponsored by Bicester’s Williamson Chiropractic and Sports Injuries Clinic. Visit www.upandrunninginoxford.co.uk or contact Linda on 07766 823943 for details.
