Buckingham Christmas Lights switch on 2011

DESPITE the more austere times we live in, it’s been a record year for Santa.

Buckingham Table including Rotary has raised £8,200 from their Santa Float collections around Buckingham and the local villages.

Spokesman Kevan Ramanauckis said: “This is a tremendous effort and Buckingham Table would like to thank the very generous people of Buckingham and the surrounding villages for their support.”

In 2011, the Table has donated more than £4,000 to local groups including Project Street Life, Buckingham Scouts, Buckingham and Winslow Young Carers and Moretonville Football Club.

Local community organisations or groups that would like to be considered for a donation in 2012 can apply via www.buckinghamtable.org

Buckingham Table will be holding a new joiners evening at 8pm on Friday, January 20, at The Woolpack, in Well Street, Buckingham.
