Shop locally to show you love your town...
IT’S the time of year to spread a little love and Winslow’s Chamber of Trade is taking the opportunity to publicise its ‘Love Winslow’ loyalty card.
Launched in 2010 as a way of rewarding shoppers for supporting local shops and businesses, the card has been a big success, with loyal followers benefiting from rewards for keeping their custom local.
Each time a customer spends £10 or more in a participating store, they get a stamp on their card. When they have gained 12 stamps, they can use their card to benefit from one of the offers available from participating businesses.
And there is no limit to the number of cards per customer.
About 10 stores participate in the Love Winslow scheme, which was launched two years ago, and their offers vary.
Polkadot and Deli Estrella both offer a 10 per cent discount for customers producing a full card.
Helen Knight, of Deli Estrella, said: “Quite a lot of our customers do use the cards and they do cash them in.
“It’s a good way to reward customers for shopping locally.”
