Taylan’s ball raises amazing £30,000 total

Calvert Green-based brain tumour fundraising group, Taylan’s Project, raised about £30,000 at its annual Crystal Ball this month at the Sofitel Hotel, Heathrow.

Figen and Andy Rawlinson, who lost their eldest son, Taylan, aged seven, to a brain tumour in 2009, set up Taylan’s Project n his memory. To date, they have raised £120,000 for Brain Tumour Research. To recognise their achievement, the project has become the first receipient of a Research Champion Award from Brain Tumour Research.
