Tick off some gifts from your list at charity fair
There’s a chance to make an early start on your Christmas shopping at the Whittlebury Charity Shopping Extravaganza next week.
The popular sale takes place on Wednesday, September 26, from 5pm to 9pm and Thursday, September 27, from 9am to 3.30pm in the Atrium at Whittlebury Park, near Towcester.
Now in its 12th year, the big annual event is run by a group of local volunteers, with 100 per cent of all entry fees, raffle ticket sales and monies received from stallholders going Macmillan Cancer Support, Helen & Douglas House Hospice and St John Ambulance.
Last year, the three charities benefited to the tune of £20,000.
A huge range of goods are on sale this year, including home and garden gifts, books and cards, hand-decorated pottery, children’s toys, jewellery, leather belts, organic meat and ski wear.
