BUCKINGHAM Town Council is looking for people who are interested in becoming a co-opted town councillor.
A vacancy has arisen on the town council following the resignation of Councillor Tony Chan and applications are welcome from people who would like to be involved in the life of the town, which has a population of 12,500, and in making a difference to its residents.
The town council is a Quality Council with 16 proactive councillors and responsibility for two parks, three play areas, the town markets and the cemetery.
It plays an important role in the community, organises or facilitates a variety of events and provides services on behalf of the county council, with an overall budget of over half a million pounds.
