HAVING completed the accounts for Winslow in Bloom 2008, the organisers are pleased to report that they have distributed the proceeds.
A total of £1,500 will be handed out.
The main beneficiary will be Furze Down School in the town.
Other minor beneficiaries are:
  • Winslow Concert Band who gave their services free of charge to the benefit of the event.

  • The Brownies, who served morning coffee.

  • A contribution to the St Laurence Church Choir who fielded a team to serve lunches.

  • Me Myself and I, a local contact group for adults with learning difficulties which meets at the Winslow Centre on a regular basis, and once again supported the event by selling the garden containers they had decorated at their sessions.

  • The next event will be on Sunday, June 6, 2010.

    Clerk
