I AM writing to your readers to urge them to help ensure Westbury to Evenley becomes one of the country's top destinations for dog walkers.
The route has already made it through to the top 52 and an online vote is currently underway to find the top 21 walks.

The competition has been run for the last two years by Hill's Pet Nutrition who are hoping to combat rising levels of canine obe
sity which now affects 50 percent of dogs.

By simply taking your pooch for twice-a-day walkies you can help reduce the risk of heart disease, arthritis, breathing difficulties and diabetes.

Plus, with the nation looking for ways to be greener and with the credit crunch biting, many people will be opting for a holiday in the UK. You might see less sun but it does mean you can take the family dog on holiday with you.

By providing a list of the top dog walking spots it will encourage people to go and discover the fantastic beaches, parks and woodlands the country has to offer.

For details of the Evenley/Westbury walk, see the website www.21topdogwalks.co.uk
