Towcester: A very different group of bike riders will set off from Jacks Hill Cafe in Towcester this month during a charity event.

The cafe is used to hosting gatherings of thousands of motorcyclists but this month bicycle riders will be using it as a starting point for a 100km charity ride to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

The Two Counties Challenge Ride, organised by Martin Hackley includes circular routes of 16km, 60km and 100km on Sunday, August 21.

Previous events organised by Mr Hackley, including the Phil Cooke Ride have attracted more than 400 riders. Entry costs £10 but under 16s ride for free if they register before the day at www.challenging times.org.uk and are accompanied by an adult.
