The leaves are turning colour earlier than usual this year at Stowe Landscape Gardens, according to head gardener Barry Smith.
Autumn is spectacular at Stowe, with brilliantly coloured foliage on the trees and new views appearing as the leaves begin to fall.
A leaflet will be available to help visitors see the best of the autumn colours. Children can also enjoy matching up leaves using a leaf spotter sheet, both available free from reception.
On Sunday, October 9, visitors can help the gardeners create a beautiful spring walk at the annual Grow With Stowe event.
From 11am to 3pm, all the family can get their hands dirty planting snowdrops, bluebells and cyclamen in the gardens ready for next spring.
