Get ready to rock as lads get up to High Jinks at Town Hall

POPULAR local alternative rock band the High Jinks are headlining at a gig at the Old Town Hall in Buckingham on Saturday, March 3, to celebrate the release of their new single, Nowhere Fast.

The band comprises original members Greg Bishop, aged 24, from Bicester, on guitars, Josh Stopps, aged 22, from Buckingham, on drums and Oli Cowley, aged 23, from Fringford, on bass. Guitarist Andy Humphries, aged 19, from Thornborough, joined the line-up in September.

The lads, who all grew up in the area, have a lot of local support, and 200 people attended their launch event.

They will be supported on the night by three other bands – We Caught The Castle, Disclosure and Ten Twenty Six.

CDs of Nowhere Fast, which comes with two bonus tracks, will be on sale on the night. The single is also available to download from iTunes. In addition, the band will be selling a new range of other merchandise, including various T-shirts, badges and stickers.

The lads have recently finished shooting a music video, thanks to Mark Vanstone of interactive media company TechnoVisual in Buckingham, and this will be available to watch via YouTube by March 3.

Doors open on the night at 7.30pm. Tickets £6 from Villiers Hotel, from Josh at Roger’s newsagents or from any band member.
