TOWCESTER: Charity quiz night, at The Rockin’ Horse, from 8pm, teams of up to four people £2.50 per person, raising funds for the Northants Association for the Blind.
BUCKINGHAM: The Kings Head, live music with Puretone.
SYRESHAM: Scarecrow Festival and Open Gardens Weekend, June 23 and 24, from 10am. Scarecrows all over the village, competitions, stall and games and several open gardens, art exhibition featuring the works of local artists in the village hall.
BICESTER: St Edburg’s Church coffee morning, 10am to noon, St Edburg’s Church, plants, cake stall, toys, CDs/DVDs, refreshments, entry is free and all proceeds go to St Edburg’s Church.
TWYFORD: 7.30pm, Church of St Mary, Twyford, Music in Quiet Places, Schubert Octet, Anton Reicha Clarinet Quintet, admission £8, village walk at 6.30pm.
BUCKINGHAM: The Kings Head, Tombraider disco back by popular demand.
Sunday, June 24
Silverstone: Open Gardens, 2pm to 6pm. Ten gardens open plus two pocket parks. Exhibition of local art, needlework and beading. Cream teas at St Michael’s Church in the village centre where you can also buy admission programmes with maps, £3 per adult, children free.
WESTBURY: Church fete, 2pm onwards, Brackley Morris Men, cream teas, coconut shy and family fun. Please come along.
Buckingham: 2.30pm and 7.30pm. Lenborough Singers’ Jubilee Concert - popular songs from the last 60 years at St Bernadine’s Church, Chandos Road. Tickets £8 (£6 concessions) from The Duke’s Music (closed Monday) and the Old Gaol.
PATTISHALL: Pattishall Parish Hall and Playing Field will hold a car boot sale, raising funds for refurbishment. Sellers can set up from noon, with buyers from 1pm. There will be hot refreshments. Pattishall Parish Hall and Playing Fields are located in School Road, Astcote, near Towcester NN12 8NN.
