THE Thornborough bonfire and fireworks display is being held on Saturday, November 1, with gates opening at 7pm.
But all are invited to join the traditional village torchlit procession that starts at 6.30pm from the Two Brewers, High Street.

The procession winds its way through the village, past the chapel, pond, church, village hall and school.

There is plenty of room for parking along the High Street and village green, but for safety reasons parking is prohibited in Lower End and Bank Street close to the bonfire.

Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for senior citizens and children.

The fire will be lit at 7.15pm and the aerial fireworks display is from 7.30pm to 8pm.

There will be competitions for the best Guy and the best pumpkin/turnip lantern.

Sparklers, food and refreshments will be on sale.

For further details contact Bernard Garbe on 01280 814434.
