A BUCKINGHAM-based band will be previewing material from a forthcoming album when they perform at one of Northampton's most sophisticated venues.
The Red Bullets have been working hard since they formed in October 2007, playing 130 gigs in 2008 and more than 50 venues so far in 2009.
Next month the four-piece pop rock band will be playing the Black Bottom Club in Northampton well known for its jazz and blues nights.
As a treat to their fans the band, led by singer-songwriter and pianist Pete Edwards, will be performing material never heard before.
Other members of the band are Pete's 24-year-old brother Mark who lives in Buckingham and plays the drums, 30-year-old Mark Wheeler from the Buckingham area who plays the bass and 21-year-old guitarist Kyle Hall from Grimsby.
Pete, 27, from Great Horwood, said: "We get huge enjoyment out of performing and we've been working hard to make progress and move up to the next level.
"We are playing at the Black Bottom Club to preview material that is going on our debut album we are recording this year.
"Usually bands record albums and then do previews before the release, but we're keen for people to be able to interact with the band at the different stages in the production of the album."
Last year the band helped former Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden raise £32,000 for charity at the Party in the Paddock event in Tingewick, which involved Roger Daltry from The Who and Don Airey of Deep Purple.
The band sell CDs of their music at gigs but many of their songs are available to listen to on their website and are available for download on iTunes and other music download sites.
The Red Bullets will be performing at the Black Bottom Club, George Row, Northampton on Thursday, May 14. Tickets cost £3. The website is www.theredbullets.com or www.myspace.com/redbullets.
