YOUNG people wanting to join in with the Bonfire Night festivities are invited to enter a best dressed Guy competition.
On November 1, at 1pm, the mayor of Buckingham, Cllr Howard Mordue, will be judging the competition outside the Old Gaol Museum, with the best group entry winning £50 and the best individual entry winning £10.

The Buckingham Acoustic Club will be providing musical entertainment during the morning.

The event will continue at 7pm with a fireworks display and a bonfire in Bourton Park.

Refreshments will be available courtesy of Project Street Life and the Guides.

The lighting of the bonfire will take place after the fireworks. The event is free but a collection will be made for the Mayor's Charities.
Buckingham Town Council is requesting people to walk to Bourton Park, as parking is limited. The route will be signposted from Cornwall's

Meadow car park via the bridge behind the Community Centre and the Circular Walk.

The town council is also looking for any residents who may have wood to donate for the bonfire.

Collection can be arranged, but delivery to the park on November 1 is preferred. Contact the town council on 01280 816426.
