THE final weekend of this year's Buckingham Festival Fortnight will offer comedy, live music and family fun.
Tonight, Friday, (18/07) audience members can enjoy the Old Gaolers' final performance of the romantic comedy The Lady's Not For Burning, which starts at 7.45pm in the Church of St Peter and St Paul.
Tomorrow, Saturday, (18/07) Buckingham's Swan P
ool will open between 10am and 4pm for a free health and fitness day. A range of work-outs can be sampled, including body pump and other aerobic exercise.
Later on Saturday, guests can dance to the energetic music of the Candleford Ceilidh Band, which has performed Celtic dance music for more than 20 years. A bar will be available, and the event will run from 8pm to 11pm in Buckingham Community Centre.
On Sunday, the town centre will offer a host of family entertainment between 11am and 4pm, including games, hands-on activities, an open mic session, live music, demonstrations of circus skills, street entertainers, and a barbecue.
The Old Gaol Museum will also open free-of-charge between 1pm and 4pm, and volunteers will serve cream teas all afternoon.
This year's Buckingham Festival Fortnight will conclude with a special concert featuring Ian McLagan, former member of the Small Faces and The Faces.
Mr McLagan and the Bump Band will play in the Old Town Hall from 7pm onwards, supported by Henry McCullough from Wings and Dave Sharp from The Alarm.
