TWO young bands will be the headlining acts at the annual Music in the Market event on Sunday in Buckingham town centre.
Buckingham-based band The Red Bullets and The Scholars, from Oxfordshire, will be the headlining acts at the outdoor festival which takes place between 1pm and 10pm.
The Red Bullets perform contemporary rock and feature singer-songwriter Peter Edwards, his brother and drummer Mark, guitarist Kyle Hall and bass player Mark Wheeler.
The Scholars are made up of Adrian Gillett, on lead vocals and bass, Chris Gillett, on lead guitar, Adam Clarke on drums and rhythm guitar and Josh Herring on keyboards.
Their music has been played on BBC Radio Oxford, BBC Bristol and on Tom Robinson's Introducing Show on BBC Radio 6 Music.
There will be various other local bands, as well as street displays and a special food market.
The event has been organised by the Buckingham Acoustic Club with support from Buckingham Town Council.
Linda Watkins, from the Buckingham Acoustic Club, said: "We are quite excited because we have got some really good acts. We have managed to put together a varied programme and there will be something to suit everybody's tastes."
The 3rd Buckingham Scout Group will be providing snack refreshments on the day and some of the regular market traders will be attending.Saturday market traders will also be trading during the festival.
