The sun shone on 1,500 music fans who descended on the Bull Ring in Buckingham on Sunday for the town's annual Music in the Market event.
Headlining bands The Red Bullets and The Scholars attracted large crowds along with several other acts from around the local area and other parts of the country.

The event was kicked off by new band Rockola, who performed several rock 'n' roll covers, followed by Craig Stocker who performed on his harmonica, accompanied by a steady beat from his stomp box.

Other performers on the day included Linda Watkins and Godfrey, Nick Sherreard and his flamenco guitar, blues music from the Jeff Adams Trio, Mobile Duck Pond and Panama Jack.

Linda Watkins, from the Buckingham Acoustic Club, said The Scholars, who were the headline band for the afternoon, performed an excellent set and were even booked for several future events after their performance.

She said: "And our other headline band The Red Bullets had everyone dancing, clapping and singing along.

"Their set just got better and better with great vocals as always from Peter Edwards, superb drumming from brother Mark Edwards and solid bass guitar from Mark Wheeler. Their performance was just a perfect end to such a lovely day."

Councillor Ruth Newell, deputy chairman of Buckingham Town Council's events committee, said: "We'd like to thank the acoustic club and all the performers for taking part.

"We'd also like to thank the crowd for supporting us in a big way. After two years of inclement weather it is wonderful the organisation had a chance to put an event on for the town to remember."

She added the town council also wanted to thank council staff for their help on the day.
