Sculpture exhibition at Claydon House (Aug 30-Sep 24)

A GIANT steel heron and a metal velociraptor will stalk the grounds of Claydon House from this weekend as part of a new sculpture exhibition.
Opening on Saturday, August 30, the exhibition by the Oxford Sculpture Group is designed to appeal to lovers of both modern and traditional styles, and can be viewed until Wednesday, September 24.

More than 50 pieces, including Daren Greenhow's 12ft Goliath Heron, and his Velo-ciraptor made from bicycle parts, can be seen in a number of locations in the Claydon House estate gardens.

Other featured sculptures include Cut Apple by Marie Shepherd, Elephant by Jacqui Darnell, Flower Dancer by John Penrose and Flamboyant Family by Lendon Scantlebury.

The magnificent Georgian house, maintained by the National Trust, will also be open to visitors.

Entry to the gardens and sculpture exhibition is £3.50.
