PLACES are available in a fundraising 10k Cancer Research UK run to be held in Stowe Landscape Gardens at the end of August.
More than 700 runners of all abilities are expected to take part and organisers hope more than £43,000 will be raised to fund the charity's groundbreaking research.

The single-lap course starts and finishes in front of Stowe House and takes in most of the gardens' 40 temples and monuments.

Emma Barlow, event organiser, said: "It's a great event in a stunning location, but it's also an emotional day. Everyone has their own reason for taking part and many wear the names of their loved ones who have been affected by cancer on their backs."

She added: "Running 10k is an achievable challenge for many people with some training.

"And participants can even think about challenging their friends and family to take part with them."

The Run 10k event, to be held on Sunday, August 31, is open to men and women over the age of 16.
